Hello everyone and welcome to the Mmm… Cocoa (MC for short – clever, eh?!) podcast/blog.

With MC I aim to provide you, the audience, with at least one video podcast a week on a specific Cocoa/Objective-C/Xcode topic, and explain it in such a way that almost anyone can and will be able to understand. That is to say, that by watching the MC podcasts, it is my intention to teach people from the ground up (if you follow MC from the start!) or to at least supplement prior knowledge.

I must admit, I am no Cocoa guru – far from it. In fact, I (I being Tom by the way – nice to meet you!) actually have a background in developing with the Microsoft .NET framework (and still use it heavily at work!). Therefore, it is fair to say that I will be learning alongside these video podcasts to a certain extent. I have already dabbled in some small projects, both for Mac OS X and the iPhone (I currently have one app on the App Store – Check it out!) and I am hoping this will give me enough leg room to begin releasing these podcasts without delay.

The first MC podcast will be released sometime in the next few days, and it will start at the beginning – Xcode. I will be taking you through how to get Xcode up and running, giving you an overview of the interface (as well as Interface Builder) and we may even build a simple program to finish it off.
